Rams head coach Sean McVay previously discussed the energy that Dotson brings to the rest of his teammates after he first debuted the pattern in his hair.
"He's just got this enjoyment for coming out here and he's got a great vibe," McVay said in July 2025, per Stu Jackson of the team's official website. "I mean whether it's shooting jump shots on air after we score... he's got this great energy about himself."
"Guys love him," he added. "When you're around a guy that's got that kind of vibe and then there's that physical toughness, his ability to do some special things. We love 'K-Dot' and all his teammates love him as well."
Dotson is entering his fourth season with Los Angeles after spending the first three years of his career on the Pittsburgh Steelers.
He started 15 games for the Rams during his 2025 campaign. Dotson allowed three sacks and 20 pressures in 885 total snaps, according to Pro Football Focus.
The 29-year-old was a key factor in Los Angeles' rushing attack, ranking No. 7 among all teams by averaging 126.6 yards per game on the ground.
After making an NFC Championship Game appearance last season, Dotson and the Rams are looking to return to the playoffs for the fourth consecutive year.
