Anthony Joshua KOs Kristian Prenga, Judges' Scorecards, Punch Stats and Prize Money

Anthony Joshua potentially set the stage for a superfight with Tyson Fury with a second-round knockout win over Kristian Prenga in heavyweight action in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on Saturday.

It didn't take long for Prenga to make his presence known. He stunned the crowd with a flush uppercut that dropped Joshua within the first 20 seconds of the opening round. 

Joshua worked his way to his feet, but was clearly shaken up. He held on to survive the round, but not before the underdog sent him to the canvas again. 

Unfortunately for Prenga, Joshua was able to use the round break to regroup and put the knockdowns behind him. He showed off his own power with a swarm of right hands that knocked Prenga through the ropes and secured the second-round knockout.

Joshua's bout against Prenga is obviously not the biggest bout boxing could make right now. Prenga was 20-1 with 20 knockouts heading into the fight, but his level of competition was suspect.

A much bigger fight could now be on the horizon, though.

Joshua and Tyson Fury have reportedly been in negotiations for a fight that would be streamed by Netflix in the fall with Madison Square Garden as one of the potential sites for a clash, per The Athletic.

Fury held up his end of the deal by beating Mariusz Wach in an unaired fight in Thailand. The Gypsy King stopped him in the seventh round by TKO.

Joshua and Fury have come close to fighting several times throughout their careers, but a matchup has never materialized. Promoter Eddie Hearn believed that both men winning this weekend was the final piece to finally put the fight together.

"The only thing that's going to stop the fight from happening in November is if one of these guys gets beat this weekend or picks up an injury," he said, per Jack Wilkinson of Sky Sports. "Touch wood, especially the first one, hopefully neither of those will happen."

Both men are starting to get to the point where retirement is a real conversation. With both picking up key wins in their tune-up fights, it might finally be time to see these two meet in the ring.
