JSN Hypes Seahawks' 'New Energy,' Says Team is 'Ready For The Next Thing' After Super Bowl Win

The Seattle Seahawks have a tough act to follow as they try to defend their Super Bowl title, but heading into the 2026 campaign, the team plans to leave the past behind.

Star receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba said the Seahawks are "ready for the next thing" this season.

"It feels like a revamp, a new energy in the building, honestly," Smith-Njigba told reporters. "It feels good to put the past behind us and really focus on the future. On right now in front of us, that's attacking training camp, and I can just tell by the vibe of the guys, talking to them in the locker room, we're ready for that. We're ready for the next thing. It's awesome to be here now."

Seattle won't be able to completely put its Super Bowl victory behind it since there will be a banner ceremony to start the season, but once the ball is kicked off against the New England Patriots in Week 1, the Seahawks will have their eyes set on what's to come.

While Smith-Njigba said there is a "new energy" in the building, Seattle will bring back a similar roster to the one that won a Super Bowl in February, minus a few starters from last season.

With quarterback Sam Darnold and Smith-Njigba leading the way, the Seahawks should be set up to contend once again this year.
