Barack Obama Surprises Caitlin Clark, Angel Reese, WNBA All-Stars at Practice in Trending Videos

The 2026 WNBA All-Stars were surprised in Chicago by a former U.S. president.

The WNBA shared a video of former President Barack Obama making a surprise appearance at a Friday All-Star practice.

Obama shared a video of himself playing one-on-one against the New York Liberty's Jonquel Jones, complimenting the play of the Dallas Wings' Paige Bueckers and bonding with the Washington Mystics' Kiki Iriafen over her jersey number.

Obama was also recorded having conversations with four-time MVP A'ja Wilson and Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark.

"Don't let all this nonsense get you down... don't lose that joy," Obama told Clark. "The game's like the game, and you're a hooper, and you hoop. You're always hooping, and you're on a nice little run right now."

The 2026 WNBA All-Star weekend starts Friday night with the 3-Point and Shooting Stars contests, followed by the Saturday night tip-off of the All-Star Game between Bueckers' Team Coop and Clark's Team Spoon.
