Jackie Robinson Autographed Dodgers MLB Rookie Card Sells for New Record at Auction

A Jackie Robinson card made history at auction on Friday.

Fanatics announced that it had sold an autographed card from Robinson's rookie year for $1,860,000, setting a record for the highest price paid for one of his cards. The previous record was $960,000.

The previous record holder was a 1952 Topps card sold at Goldin Auctions in 2021.

A card as historic as the one purchased on Friday is likely to only go up in value, so whoever purchased it could end up turning a massive profit one day.

Robinson is one of the most iconic players in baseball history, breaking the color barrier in 1947 and going on to have a tremendous career that featured a Rookie of the Year award, an MVP, a World Series title and six All-Star appearances.
