New Tarik Skubal Trade Rumors on Dodgers Having 'Greedy' Mindset at 2026 MLB Deadline
With Detroit Tigers ace Tarik Skubal potentially hitting the trade market ahead of the deadline, it appears the rich could get richer.
According to USA Today's Bob Nightengale, the Los Angeles Dodgers "plan to be greedy, and are infatuated with the opportunity of becoming the first National League team to win three consecutive World Series championships."
Nightengale added that the Dodgers are expected to be "all in" if and when Skubal becomes available, and their "prized farm system and starting pitching depth" could be enough for Los Angeles to land the reigning Cy Young Award winner.

Execs: Mason Miller Will Be Traded
Skubal has once again been tremendous despite battling injuries. The 29-year-old has posted a 2.83 ERA and a 0.93 WHIP, picking up 98 strikeouts in 14 starts.
The Dodgers are the top team in baseball and have the third-best ERA at 3.55. When fully healthy, Los Angeles has arguably the best rotation in baseball with Yoshinobu Yamamoto, Blake Snell, Tyler Glasnow and Shohei Ohtani. Adding Skubal to the mix would make for unprecedented levels of star power.
ESPN's Jesse Rogers reported earlier this week that the Tigers are trying to "hold out as long as possible" before trading Skubal because they believe they can still win the American League Central, but the clock is ticking with the Aug. 3 deadline fast approaching.
