Dante Moore's Skill Set Hyped as 'Quite Similar to C.J. Stroud's' by NFL Scout amid 2027 Draft Buzz

Had Dante Moore chosen to go pro this spring, he likely would have been one of the first quarterbacks off the board.

Heading into the 2026 campaign with Oregon, he'll have the attention of just about every NFL team.

One NFC scout compared Moore to Houston Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud.

"An effortless passer that's just so natural at everything," an NFC scout who covers the Midwest said, per ESPN's Jordan Reid. "If he can play better against high-quality opponents, he has a chance to be the top pick. His skill set is quite similar to C.J. Stroud's when he was coming out."

Last season, Moore threw for 3,565 yards, 30 touchdowns and 10 interceptions. Considering it was just his first season as the Ducks' starter, that was quite the year he put together.

The assumption is that he'll only get better in his second season under center.

While Stroud has his flaws, being compared to a starting quarterback on a playoff team is quite the feat. Moore will look to prove this fall that he's worthy of a top pick in April.
