Baseball Hall of Fame 2026 Induction Ceremony Start Time and TV Info

The National Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, New York is home to one of the world's most exclusive clubs. Only the greatest MLB legends make their way into the Hall of Fame, and unlike in some other sports, the Hall doesn't see large classes every year.

The voting requirements to reach the Baseball Hall of Fame are notoriously strict.

Traditional candidates must receive an affirmative vote from at least 75 percent of the voting pool—comprised of Baseball Writers' Association of America members. After 10 years without an induction, candidates are no longer eligible through the traditional voting process. However, they can earn reconsideration through the Era Committee, formerly known as the Veterans Committee.

This year, the Hall will only welcome three new members, though Sunday's enshrinement ceremony will still be a spectacular affair.

Andruw Jones

Carlos Beltrán (OF, New York Mets

Carlos Beltrán is one of two candidates who were selected by the Baseball Writers' Association of America (BWAA) ballot and received 84.2 percent of the votes in his fourth year of eligibility.

A standout outfielder and switch hitter, Beltrán was a nine-time All-Star who began his career with the Kansas City Royals and had a spectacular 2004 season with the Houston Astros before his seven-year stint with the New York Mets.

The 1999 AL Rookie of the Year, Beltrán was also a three-time Gold Glove winner, a two-time Silver Slugger, and won a World Series with the Astros in 2017. He also spent time with the San Francisco Giants, New York Yankees, St. Louis Cardinals, and Texas Rangers, and he finished his career with 435 home runs, 312 stolen bases, and a .279 batting average.

Beltrán will be inducted as a Met.

Andruw Jones (OF, Atlanta Braves)

Andruw Jones is entering the Hall of Fame in his ninth year of eligibility after receiving 78.4 percent of yes votes from the BWAA committee.

A 17-year MLB veteran, Jones began his career with the Atlanta Braves in 1996 and finished it with the New York Yankees in 2012. He also spent time with the Yankees, Rangers, Chicago White Sox, and Los Angeles Dodgers. A five-time All-Star and 10-time Gold Glove winner, Jones was one of the top defensive outfielders of the modern era.

Jones was also the NL home-run leader in 2005 and the NL RBI leader that same season. He finished his career with 434 home runs, and, according to Baseball Reference, his career 24.4 defensive WAR rating ranks 22nd in league history.

Jones will be inducted as a member of the Braves.

Jeff Kent (2B, San Francisco Giants)

Jeff Kent, who was a five-time All-Star and a one-time NL MVP, is entering the Hall of Fame via the Era Committee.

The Hall of Fame actually has three Era Committees, which select candidates one at a time on a rotating basis. Kent received 14 of 16 votes from the Contemporary Era Players Committee's 16-member panel. The Contemporary Players Committee focuses on players whose careers existed post-1980.

Committees also exist for Contemporary Non-Players and the Classic Era (pre-1980).

Kent spent 17 seasons in the majors with the Mets, Giants, Dodgers, Astros, Toronto Blue Jays, and Cleveland Indians. The four-time Silver Slugger finished his career with 377 home runs, 1,518 RBIs, and a .290 batting average, and he'll enter the Hall as a Giant.
