49ers' George Kittle Shares Story About Kyle Shanahan Challenging Him to Fight on Vacation

Most NFL head coaches would actively avoid trying to engage one of their star players in physical combat, but Kyle Shanahan is apparently wired differently than others.

Appearing on Chris Simms' Unbuttoned podcast, San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle told a story about when he was on a vacation with Shanahan several years ago and his head coach casually challenged him to a fight.

As Kittle tells it, things didn't go well for Shanahan because he wound up being put in the ocean by the start tight end.

All things considered, though, that may have been the best outcome for Shanahan because if they got into any sort of real throwdown that resulted in Kittle being injured, he may not have remained head coach of the 49ers for much longer.
