New Quinshon Judkins Injury Update on RB's Status for Browns Training Camp Revealed in NFL Rumors

Paul KasabianJul 23, 2026

Cleveland Browns running back Quinshon Judkins, who suffered a dislocated right ankle and a fractured fibula last December against the Buffalo Bills, is expected to be fully ready to participate in training camp when it begins on Friday, July 31.

The Browns selected Judkins, a former Ohio State star, with a second round pick in the 2025 NFL draft. He amassed 998 total yards and seven touchdowns in 14 games.

On the ground, Judkins rushed for 827 yards on 230 carries (3.6 YPC). He also caught 26 passes for 171 yards.

Judkins is in line to assume the starting running back role again. The remainder of the Browns' depth chart includes Dylan Sampson, Raheim Sanders and Ahmani Marshall.

Cleveland is under new leadership after parting ways with head coach Kevin Stefanski and hiring Baltimore Ravens offensive coordinator Todd Monken to be their new head coach.

The Browns' biggest question mark this offseason is at quarterback, where Deshaun Watson and Shedeur Sanders are battling to be the starter.

Cleveland will also incorporate some exciting new talents into the mix, including a pair of rookie wide receivers in first-round pick KC Concepcion and second-rounder Denzel Boston. Spencer Fano, the ninth overall pick in this year's draft, will also step in at left tackle.

The Browns have some question marks on defense, too, especially after trading two-time Defensive Player of the Year Myles Garrett to the Los Angeles Rams. Garrett just set the NFL's single-season sacks record with 23. They did get a great talent in return, though, in defensive end Jared Verse (and three draft picks).

What doesn't appear to be in question, thankfully, is the status of Judkins as the Browns get ready for their first training camp under Monken.
