Updated 2026 AEW Redemption Card and Predictions for Match Order

The last major stop for AEW on the road to All In is Sunday with the inaugural Redemption pay-per-view.

This event will set the stage for the AEW's biggest show of the year with six title matches, including both the men's and women's world titles on the line, and a six-man ladder match to determine the No. 1 contender for the international championship.

Top Redemption Matches to Watch

Death Riders (Will Ospreay and Jon Moxley) vs. The Young Bucks

Will Ospreay's alliance with the Jon Moxley and the Death Riders has been one of the key storylines in AEW all year, but it has led to some cracks in his relationship with members of The Elite.

Things came to a head on the go-home episode of Dynamite when all four combatants in this match, as well as Kenny Omega, got in a physical altercation to close the show after Omega, Ospreay and Moxley defeated the Don Callis Family in a six-man tag match.

Ospreay already has his guaranteed title shot at All In after winning the Owen Hart Cup tournament, but there remains plenty of intrigue around what role Moxley and the Death Riders will play as he chases the world title next month.

The Bucks and Omega have a longstanding friendship that makes this a potentially chaotic battle between four of the biggest stars in AEW.

It's also safe to assume with these four men on pay-per-view that the match itself is going to be wild with each of them going all out to steal the show and set up whatever is coming for Moxley and the Bucks at All In.

Thekla vs. Willow Nightingale

The AEW women's world title match between Thekla and Willow Nightingale came together sooner than expected.

Nightingale was originally planned to win the Owen, then go on to All In and challenge Thekla at Wembley Stadium. A shoulder injury forced Nightingale out of the tournament, leading to Mercedes Moné replacing her and winning for a second consecutive year.

Since the injury to Nightingale wasn't serious enough to keep her out for a long period of time, she is now back and looking to win the women's title for the first time.

Standing in the way is Thekla, who has become one of AEW's top stars and most interesting personalities in just over one year with the promotion.

There are arguments in favor of either Nightingale or Thekla winning to go into All In as champion to defend against Moné. Willow and Mercedes have wrestled two singles matches in AEW with each winning one.

Thekla and Mercedes have yet to meet, though both being heels might make it so Nightingale gets the win here and goes into Wembley Stadium as the defending champion.

Kenny Omega vs. Kevin Knight

One downside of AEW adding Redemption to the schedule fairly late, particularly just four weeks before All In, is it makes this feel a bit like a lame duck show.

It was also surprising when the Omega-MJF title match was booked for the Beach Break episode of Dynamite on July 8 when Redemption was set to take place in Omega's home country of Canada.

After Omega won the men's title from MJF, the question became what the plan was for the Redemption main event and some fans were left underwhelmed when it became Kevin Knight.

There has only been a two-week build for Knight as the challenger and no one expects him to win, especially given how hard AEW has already gone with the advertising for Omega and Ospreay at All In.

It's not an ideal situation for Knight to be put in, but a high-profile match with Omega is an opportunity for him to make a statement not dissimilar to what someone like Maya World did in her match with Mercedes at Forbidden Door.

Knight is more accomplished at this point in his career than World, but he is still working his way up to becoming a main-event player.

Tony Khan has frequently cited Knight as someone he is very high on, so this is something of a test for him to prove he can hold his own on a big stage against a superstar like Omega.

Even though the outcome doesn't seem like it's going to be in doubt, Knight's performance in this match could be a springboard for him to eventually become world champion in the near-future.
