Tiger Woods' Son Charlie Reacts to Spectator's Camera Noise During Backswing in Trending Video

Charlie Woods, son of Tiger Woods, took a page from his father's handbook when a spectator's camera shutter went off in his backswing at the U.S. Junior Championships on Wednesday.

On the first playoff hole, Woods was attempting to hit his way out of the rough when a camera went off as he was in midswing, leading to an errant shot.

Woods was competing in a 14-for-2 playoff with the top two finishers from a group of 14 advancing to the match-play portion of the U.S. Junior Championships.

His day came to an end on the first hole when he bogeyed the par-five after two of the players in groups ahead of him both hit birdies on the opening hole.

The camera shutter occurred on Woods' third shot. He was attempting to make the green in two, but his second shot landed in the rough well short of the intended target.

Woods attempted to make birdie from off the green with a chip from 35 yards out that didn't find the hole. He wound up two-putting to make bogey.

The situation is a familiar one in Woods' family. His father once famously stopped mid-swing at the 2014 Open Championship to voice his displeasure with a group of photographers when their camera shutters went off.

Charlie was competing in the U.S. Junior Championship for the third consecutive year. The 17-year-old will join the Florida State men's golf team starting in 2027.
