After a lackluster start to the year, it's imperative that WWE finds success in multiple matches across the two-day SummerSlam premium live event.

As the company's biggest event outside of WrestleMania, Triple H and WWE Creative need to create momentum that carries the company into the fall.

Here are the match results fans want to see at SummerSlam in August.

Cody Rhodes Steals Title Back From CM Punk

Since joining WWE, it has become clear that Cody Rhodes is being positioned as one of the top stars, but his feud with CM Punk has become less about a world championship and more about two men whose egos have consumed them.

Rhodes entered this feud trying to reclaim a title he believes is his, while Punk believes he's still the industry's biggest attraction and his challenger merely borrowed the spotlight while he was away.

The problem for fans is that both men have spent as much time talking about themselves as they have about possibly winning the Undisputed WWE Championship, with the promo battles highlighting two massive egos colliding rather than a traditional babyface-versus-heel rivalry.

The American Nightmare should win as a means to prove he truly is the company's standard-bearer instead of simply claiming it.

The Best in the World doesn't need the title to remain one of WWE's biggest attractions, but Rhodes needs it to provide the company with fresh fall rivalries instead of retread Punk programs.

Roman Reigns Finally Defeats Seth Rollins

While Rhodes is fighting for the honor of being considered a top dog on the main roster, Roman Reigns is fighting for the World Heavyweight Championship and the chance to take one back from Seth Rollins, who has dominated their rivalry.

Few Superstars have haunted Reigns longer than Rollins. The world heavyweight champion has conquered nearly everyone on Raw and SmackDown in recent years, but his former Shield teammate remains the exception.

The matchup with Rollins isn't about revenge for The Tribal Chief; it's about Reigns finally closing the one chapter that's remained open throughout his historic run, which is why he deserves the victory even though he doesn't need it for credibility.

A win would be much more beneficial for Rollins' character, but a decisive win for Reigns gives the WWE Universe closure while reinforcing that this version of The Tribal Chief has evolved.

The loss doesn't negatively impact Rollins more than the numerous other defeats he's dealt with in recent years, and it allows both men to move into fresh rivalries heading into Survivor Series and beyond.

Brock Lesnar Loses Clean to Oba Femi

Despite Oba Femi looking like a slam dunk as a generational talent who can carry WWE into the future, Triple H and his creative team have dropped the ball on multiple occasions.

From a previous loss to Lesnar to ignoring his King of the Ring championship shot for a Hell in a Cell bout he probably could have just asked for, Femi has been made to look foolish at times.

WWE rarely gets an opportunity to create a new Superstar in a single night, but Femi could cement his place as a cornerstone of the future with a marquee SummerSlam main event victory against someone as respected as The Beast Incarnate.

And Femi can't just win. He has to win clean in dominant fashion, leaving no questions that he is head and shoulders above Lesnar on the pecking order now.

A decisive win inside Hell in a Cell immediately validates him as one of WWE's most dangerous Superstars and elevates him to the world title picture.

If WWE wants its next generational powerhouse, SummerSlam is the perfect stage to officially crown Femi.
