Charlie Woods' Score, Stats, Updated Leaderboard Standings from US Junior Amateur Championship Day 2

Charlie Woods will be going to a playoff in hopes of qualifying for match play at the U.S. Junior Amateur Championship.

Woods shot an even-par 70 in the second round on Tuesday at Saucon Valley C.C. (Grace Course) in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. He shot five-over 75 at the Old Course on Monday and now sits in a 14-way tie for 63rd.

The match play consists of the top 64 golfers in the field. That means 14 golfers will be playing for the 63rd and 64th seeds.

The playoff format is hole-by-hole sudden-death.

For example, if Woods and another golfer birdie the first hole and everyone else pars (or worse), then Woods and that golfer would move on and take the final two spots in match play.

If, say, Woods and five other golfers birdie the first hole, then that group of six moves onto the next hole while the others are eliminated. From there, the six golfers will play until two remain.

Per Kristie Ackert of USA Today, the playoff will occur on Wednesday morning on The Old Course.

Woods has done quite well and fought hard after he shot six-over on his first five holes on Monday. He's shot one-under on his last 30 holes.

On Tuesday, Woods began on the 10th hole. He bogeyed the 11th but soon followed up with an eagle on the par-four 13th. Woods shot a two-under 33 on the back nine.

The front nine was more of a grind with bogeys on the fourth and seventh holes to drop Woods to the cut line at five-over. However, Woods parred the eighth and ninth holes, and he'll play Wednesday after the strong finish.

So now a field of 264 golfers has been knocked down to 77. Woods, a class of 2031 Florida State commit and the son of golf legend Tiger Woods, still remains.

As far as the tournament goes, Miles Russell, Brayden Jones and Sohan Patel shot six-under to tie for first. Russell made headlines by making the cut at this year's U.S. Open and finishing in a tie for 39th.

Only 18 golfers shot even par or better overall at the tough Saucon Valley C.C.
