NFL Revenue for 2025 Revealed as Teams Made More Money Than NBA, MLB, NHL Clubs Combined

Zach BacharJul 21, 2026

The NFL had gross national revenue of roughly $14.5 billion for the 2025 season, according to Sportico's Kurt Badenhausen.

It represented a larger amount than the combined total for all NBA, MLB and NHL teams from central revenue, per Badenhausen.

Each of the NFL's 32 teams had gross revenue of over $450 million last season, via Badenhausen.

For the 2024 season, the NFL brought in $13.8 billion in national revenue.

The league's popularity continued to expand in 2025, as regular-season contests contained a television audience of 18.7 million average viewers per game. It marked the second-highest average on record.

NFL games also averaged 69,055 fans in attendance last season, per Sports Business Journal's Ben Fischer and David Broughton.

With the league's revenue increasing on an annual basis, it isn't hard to imagine the salary cap rising once again as well.
