Caitlin Clark Addresses If She'll Change Her Approach As She Nears WNBA Technical Fouls Suspension

Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark has no plans to alter her on-court method as she nears a technical foul limit that will trigger a one-game suspension.

The three-time All-Star provided a one-word response to the question Monday:

Clark received her sixth technical foul in Saturday's 108-88 victory over the New York Liberty. Less than two minutes had come off the clock when she got the whistle.

A one-game suspension is levied once a player has eight technicals, so that will be looming over Clark for the remainder of the year.

In her post-game press conference Saturday night, Fever coach Stephanie White told reporters that "there have to be conversations" with Clark about her tech total.

"It's a long season," White said. "Certainly after you get to eight, every two after that [draws a suspension]. Making sure that we're strategic and using our technical fouls."

Indiana is sixth in the WNBA standings at 16-10. Three games separate the Fever from the Golden State Valkyries in second, and they have a five-game cushion on the ninth-place Portland Fire.

Losing Clark to a one-game suspension could carry postseason implications for her team, especially if she's sidelined later in the season and the playoff fight tightens up.
