San Francisco 49ers star tight end George Kittle isn't giving up on the quest to bring real grass to NFL stadiums.
Kittle is attending Sunday's FIFA World Cup final between Spain and Argentina at MetLife Stadium, and he sent a direct message to the NFL pleading for the real grass to remain in place.
MetLife Stadium is home to the New York Jets and the New York Giants, and it is one of many stadiums that use artificial turf. Real grass was installed for the World Cup with plans to return to artificial turf ahead of the 2026 NFL season.
Kittle is far from alone in his desire to see real grass instituted across the board at NFL stadiums, but the league has shown no indication that it plans to fulfill its players' requests.
