Roman Reigns Shoots on WWE Backstage Locker Room and Addresses Rumors on The Bloodline

It's a little lonely at the top for WWE star Roman Reigns.

The world champion said in a live edition of the Nightcap podcast at Fanatics Fest that "I don't have many friends anymore." He said he decided around the time he returned at SummerSlam 2020 he didn't just want to be "one of the boys." His aspirations went well beyond that.

"I'm not in the friend business. We're in the conflict business," Reigns said (via Subhojeet Mukherjee of Ringside News). "We're in here to sell tickets to get y'all to see us go at it. I'm a businessman and I'm cordial with the locker room, but I'm not really trying to hang out with anybody."

Reigns also suggested the overarching Bloodline story will never end as long as he's in WWE. That's because the bond he shares with his fellow stablemates is very real and not something that's just played up for storyline purposes.

It looked as though the Bloodline was approaching its terminus when Cody Rhodes beat Reigns at WrestleMania XL. Instead, the faction never truly disappeared and returned with a force with Reigns gaining the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 42.

WWE reportedly has plans to keep the Bloodline together through at least WrestleMania 43 next year. That's not welcome news to fans who feel the narrative has grown stale after five years.

But Reigns made it abundantly clear he intends to do what he believes is best for the business, and that means more of the Bloodline.
