Cooper DeJean Would 'Love' to Face A.J. Brown After Eagles, Patriots Trade

Cooper DeJean is looking forward to a potential matchup against his former teammate.

The Philadelphia Eagles cornerback said he would "love" to face A.J. Brown after the wide receiver was traded to the New England Patriots.

"I would love to go against him," DeJean said at Fanatics Fest. "I know he'd love to go against us too so it'd be a fun battle."

The Eagles and Patriots have a preseason matchup this year, but stars like Brown might not be active for that game. The two teams won't play each other during the regular season, so a game between Philadelphia and New England this year would have to be in the Super Bowl.

The Eagles and Brown didn't have a messy breakup per se, but they definitely didn't end things on the best of terms. Brown previously downplayed the friction between him and quarterback Jalen Hurts, but a report from ESPN indicated "a good bit of his angst" from Brown was because of Hurts' hesitancy to pass to him.

Brown is coming off a subpar season by his standards, but he'll look to return to All-Pro form while playing alongside MVP candidate Drake Maye.
