Drake Maye Talks Building Chemistry With A.J. Brown in New Video After Patriots-Eagles Trade
New England Patriots quarterback Drake Maye has enjoyed his time with new wideout A.J. Brown thus far.
"A.J.'s been awesome," he told reporters. "I'm really looking forward to playing with him. Looking forward to getting into camp, building some chemistry. And I know there's already some there for me, you just gotta throw it near him and he'll make a play. He's a great teammate, been great so far, and he loves to win, so we share that."

2nd-Year WRs Ready to Break Out 💥
The Patriots paid a hefty price to acquire the 29-year-old Brown, giving up a 2028 first-round pick and a 2027 fifth-rounder. The expectation is that he'll instantly upgrade New England's passing attack, given Maye's subpar options last season.
The deal wasn't without its risks, of course. Brown has missed six games over the past two seasons and wasn't at his best in 2025, though he still caught 78 passes for 1,003 yards and seven touchdowns. Still, it was his worst statistical output in his four years with the Eagles.
The Patriots will be hoping that was down to Brown simply being unhappy with his role in Philadelphia and the team's offense in general, and that he'll be reenergized with a change in scenery. Maye is certainly optimistic.
