Bayley has spent the last 14 years in WWE, but recent teases by her most famous in-ring frenemy have led to speculation about a potential move to AEW.

Almost immediately after Monday's segment on Raw in which Bayley and Lyra Valkyria set a match for Saturday Night's Main Event in Madison Square Garden, Mercedes Monรฉ posted a cryptic GIF on social media.

The post comes two weeks after Monรฉ put up an image on her Instagram Story teasing a bout with Bayley under her previous ring name Davina Rose for WrestleDream in October.

Per Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select (h/t Yash Mittal of 411Mania.com), the belief is that Bayley is under contract to WWE at least through the end of 2026.

Under that scenario, the WrestleDream tease wouldn't be possible since WrestleDream is AEW's annual event in October. It could also just be a literal way of Monรฉ saying she is dreaming of wrestling Bayley once again after their memorable rivalry over the years in NXT and WWE.

This is at least a great opportunity for Bayley to leverage her situation into a lucrative new contract. There is every reason to believe AEW would have interest in signing her, not just because of the connection to Monรฉ.

WWE presumably wouldn't want to lose Bayley, who has been a staple of the women's division on the main roster for a decade, to a competitor. She is also regarded as a leader in the locker room at a time when WWE is starting to develop more young stars on the main roster from NXT.

While there's no indication at this point Bayley will be leaving WWE, it would seem unlikely Monรฉ is going into business for herself without having some idea of what her friend is going to do.

It's certainly a situation worth keeping an eye on until there is word about Bayley's contract one way or another.

Ethan Page Shares Advice from The Rock

Ethan Page's WWE career started in 2024 when he debuted in NXT, but it was an interaction with The Rock at the start of 2025 that has helped shape his tenure in the promotion.

Appearing on Insight with Chris Van Vliet (h/t Roseanne Raphael of F4WOnline.com), Page recalled the advice he received from The Rock after making a suggestion prior to The Great One's appearance on NXT New Year's Evil in January 2025:

"I ended up putting my hand up like I was in school because they were debating on how to handle something. I was like 'May I make a suggestion?' And they're like 'Yeah, sure, go ahead.' I say what I say and they go 'Yeah, that's good. We'll just do that.'

"After the interview, Rock's like 'Hey, don't ever second guess yourself ever again.' He's like 'If you think it and if you feel it, say it. Worst is we say no.' So I've definitely taken that with me going forward through the rest of my career in WWE and it's definitely helped me."

Page and The Rock had a brief backstage segment on the show in which All Ego bragged about injuring his rivals, leading to the Brahma Bull warning him payback would be painful.

After spending all of 2025 in NXT, Page was part of the main-roster call-ups following WrestleMania. His run so far has included challenging Penta for the intercontinental title and most recently teaming with Rusev to defeat Chad Gable and Dragon Lee on the July 6 episode of Raw.

Bryan Danielson's AEW Status

After spending a short time last fall as a full-time member of the AEW commentary team, Bryan Danielson hasn't been featured much lately despite remaining under contract to the promotion.

Per Fightful (h/t Jake Skudder of F4WOnline.com), Danielson is still a contributor on the creative side in AEW even though it's unclear how often he is actually at the shows compared to working remotely.

One thing suggested in the report is that Brie Bella, Danielson's wife, going back on the road with WWE might have "adjusted" his travel since they have two children.

Another factor reported earlier this year is that traveling is not easy on Danielson due to the neck problems that have impacted his career for years.

AEW president Tony Khan officially announced Danielson as a full-time member of the Dynamite commentary team last September.

Danielson's last pay-per-view appearance was at Dynasty on April 12. Brie and Paige, filling in for Nikki Bella, won the WWE women's tag titles one week later at WrestleMania 42.

Brie and Paige have held the championships ever since, regularly appearing on Raw each week. They will defend the titles against Fatal Influence this week on Saturday Night's Main Event.

AEW transitioned Danielson into an on-camera announcer role soon after he lost the world title to Jon Moxley at WrestleDream in October 2024. He has been careful to avoid saying he is retired, but admits there are hurdles to clear before he would step into the ring for a match again.

Danielson has technically wrestled a match since then, defeating Max Caster in a dark match on Collision in June 2025. It lasted eight seconds when he applied the LeBell Lock after Adam Cole hit Caster with a superkick before the bell rang.
