Munetaka Murakami Debuts Air Jordan 11 Cleats in Home Run Derby Photo After Jordan Brand Contract

Chicago White Sox star Munetaka Murakami signed a deal with Jordan Brand on Monday, and hours later, he showed up to the Home Run Derby rocking elite footwear.

Murakami debuted a pair of "True Blue" Air Jordan 11 cleats for the event.

The signing gives Jordan Brand one of the MLB's newest global stars. The 26-year-old signed with the White Sox ahead of the 2026 campaign and has already earned an All-Star nod after collecting 20 homers and 42 RBI so far this year.

Murakami's first Home Run Derby wasn't a success as he exited in the first round, but it likely won't be the last time he competes in the event.

Now, he'll head into the second half of the season wearing shoes from his new sponsor.
