AJ Dybantsa Reveals Dwyane Wade Conversation, Why Rookie Has Bigger Goal Than Hall of Fame

AJ Dybantsa's goal isn't to just finish his career as a Hall of Famer, but to also be remembered as one of the 100 best players to ever step on an NBA court.

"I spoke to Dwyane Wade right before the NBA draft and I told him I want to be a Hall of Famer," he said during the Las Vegas Summer League. "And he said that's what he wanted to be too until he got selected for the top 75 and that was like a bigger moment for him than the Hall of Fame. So he said 20 years from now will be the 100th anniversary and I should be aiming for the top 100 instead of just the Hall of Fame so that's my new goal."

It's certainly an ambitious goal, though the Washington Wizards will be thrilled to hear that Dybantsa wants to be an all-time great. His NBA career has also gotten off to a promising start, as he's averaging 25 points, seven rebounds and two assists per game in two Summer League contests.
