Every Snub from Top 10 in New NFL IOL Rankings by Coaches, Execs

Some notable names were left out Sunday when ESPN's Jeremy Fowler revealed his list of the top 10 interior offensive linemen in the NFL, as voted on by league executives, coaches and scouts.

The 10 highest-ranked players at the guard and center positions were as follows:

1. Tyler Smith, G, Dallas Cowboys

2. Quenton Nelson, G, Indianapolis Colts

3. Creed Humphrey, C, Kansas City Chiefs

4. Quinn Meinerz, G, Denver Broncos

5. Joe Thuney, G, Chicago Bears

6. Chris Lindstrom, G, Atlanta Falcons

7. Trey Smith, G, Kansas City Chiefs

8. Tyler Linderbaum, C, Las Vegas Raiders

9. Peter Skoronski, G, Tennessee Titans

10. Aaron Brewer, C, Miami Dolphins

Four IOL players were also listed as honorable mentions, and they are:

• Grey Zabel, G, Seattle Seahawks
• Tyler Booker, G, Dallas Cowboys
• Elgton Jenkins, G/C, Cleveland Browns
• Robert Hunt, G, Carolina Panthers

The eight remaining players who also received top-10 votes, but failed to make the list are:

• Landon Dickerson, G, Philadelphia Eagles
• Zach Frazier, C, Pittsburgh Steelers
• Connor McGovern, C, Buffalo Bills
• Kevin Dotson, G, Los Angeles Rams
• Cam Jurgens, C, Philadelphia Eagles
• Steve Avila, G, Los Angeles Rams
• Erik McCoy, C, New Orleans Saints
• Jonah Jackson, G, Chicago Bears

The four honorable mentions all entered the NFL as highly touted players, and they have largely lived up to the hype.

Zabel was No. 18 overall pick in the 2025 NFL draft, and he enjoyed a dream rookie season, starting all 17 regular-season games and three playoff games, as the Seahawks won the Super Bowl.

Booker was also a first-round pick last year, going 12th overall to the Cowboys, and he made 14 starts for a Dallas team that ranked second in the NFL in total offense and seventh in scoring offense.

The 30-year-old Jenkins is a more experienced player, spending his first seven NFL seasons with the Green Bay Packers after they took him with the 44th overall pick in the second round of the 2019 NFL draft.

Jenkins started 94 of the 96 games he appeared in for the Packers and earned two Pro Bowl selections before signing with the Browns in free agency this offseason.

Hunt was also a second-round pick, going 39th overall to the Dolphins in the 2020 NFL draft.

After spending four seasons in Miami, Hunt signed a five-year, $100 million contract with the Panthers in free agency in 2024.

The move paid immediate dividends, as Hunt earned his first Pro Bowl selection in 2024.

Hunt was limited to only two games during the 2025 regular-season due to a torn biceps, although he did return to start the Panthers' lone playoff game.

Of the players who also received votes, the Eagles combo of Dickerson and Jurgens, and the Rams duo of Dotson and Avila stands out most.

Dickerson and Jurgens paved the way for running back Saquon Barkley to rush for over 2,000 yards in 2024 en route to the Eagles winning the Super Bowl.

Meanwhile, Dotson and Avila blocked for the NFL MVP in 2025, as quarterback Matthew Stafford threw for 4,707 yards, 46 touchdowns and eight interceptions with them providing protection.
