Lions' Sewell "Has the Most 'F--k You' Attitude Plays," Says NFL Exec, 'Always Brings the Juice'
Detroit Lions offensive tackle Penei Sewell received praise from multiple people within the NFL after league executives, coaches and scouts voted him the No. 1 player at his position.
Sewell was named the best OT in the NFL as part of an anonymous survey conducted by ESPN's Jeremy Fowler, elevating him one spot from last year's rankings.
An anonymous NFL exec told Fowler of Sewell, "He has the most 'f--k you' attitude plays in the league. Always brings the juice."

A veteran NFL defensive coach added, "He's still the most complete player at this stage—physical, powerful, smart."
The No. 7 overall pick out of Oregon in the 2021 NFL draft, Sewell has been the Lions' starting right tackle since entering the league.
He has missed only two games over five seasons, starting all 83 regular-season contests he has appeared in.
Sewell has been named a Pro Bowler in each of the past four seasons and First Team All-Pro in each of the past three, and he even finished 11th in NFL Offensive Player of the Year voting in 2024.
Following the release of longtime starting left tackle Taylor Decker, the Lions are set to shift Sewell from his familiar right tackle spot to LT.
It could require an adjustment period, but if Sewell promises to be as strong on the left side as he has been on the right, it will be huge for the Lions in terms of having a dominant blindside protector for quarterback Jared Goff.
