Rex Grossman Reportedly Signs with Atlanta Falcons
Rex Grossman is reportedly signing a one-year deal with the Atlanta Falcons, according to NFL.com's Ian Rapoport. Pro Football Talk confirmed the report.
Falcons first-year head coach Dan Quinn told reporters Grossman was in town for a workout Aug. 25, per Andrew Hirsh of AtlantaFalcons.com.
Grossman had previously appeared interested in a move to New York with the Jets, though ESPN's Josina Anderson reported Aug. 11 the Jets had "no imminent plan at this time" to work out Grossman.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Grossman's timeline of recovery for the foot he sprained while training differs from what NFL.com's Rand Getlin reported Aug. 11, which was he "would need a few weeks to get ready."
Grossman, 35, is a former first-round pick who got through only one 16-game season for the Chicago Bears during six years in the Windy City. He hasn't attempted a pass in a regular-season game since 2011 with Washington.
After serving as a mentor to Robert Griffin III and Kirk Cousins for a couple of years thereafter, Grossman suited up for the Cleveland Browns in training camp and the 2014 preseason but was ultimately cut.
Grossman will compete with T.J. Yates and Sean Renfree for snaps behind starter Matt Ryan.
