Kenny Omega Beats MJF to Win AEW Title at Dynamite Beach Break

Kenny Omega defeated MJF on Wednesday night at Dynamite Beach Break, claiming the AEW World Championship.

It is the second time in his career he's held the belt.

Had Omega lost he would have been banned from ever challenging for the title again.

MJF had held the title for 46 days, his third time as champion. He had reclaimed it after defeating Darby Allin at May's AEW Double Or Nothing.

Omega was aided by Will Ospreay, who stole MJF's Dynamite Diamond Ring, though an MJF low blow and title belt shot to Omega's face threatened to end the match while the referee was distracted. Omega kicked out at one, however.

That sets up a potential bout between Omega and Ospreay at London's All In.
