Horn made his second straight Pro Bowl last year. He had five interceptions and eight pass breakups in 16 starts.
According to Pro Football Reference, the Carolina corner allowed opposing quarterbacks to complete just 48.4 percent of their passes, and they had a 72.3 QB rating when looking his way.
ESPN's Jeremy Fowler is also beginning to roll out his annual positional rankings, which are compiled based on input from people around the league. Horn was the No. 8 cornerback.
"When you go against him, you better be ready for a street fight," one coach said. "Physical, strong, can play press coverage. Ain't always flashy but really rugged player."
The Panthers' defensive improvement helped earn them an NFC South title. Finishing 16th in yards allowed may not seem like much, but it was a big jump from a last-place finish in 2024.
For Carolina to remain a playoff contender, Horn will need to continue performing at a high level outside.
