Watch Dodgers' Shohei Ohtani Hit 300th HR in Video, 5th Fastest in MLB History to Accomplish Feat

Shohei Ohtani reached an impressive individual milestone on Tuesday night.

The Los Angeles Dodgers star recorded his 300th career home run with a solo shot in the first inning of the team's matchup with the Colorado Rockies.

Ohtani accomplished the feat in 1,102 career games, becoming the fifth-fastest player in MLB history to hit 300 homers.

129 of Ohtani's 300 home runs have come as a member of the Dodgers after he amassed 171 homers throughout his six-year tenure with the Los Angeles Angels.

Dodgers manager Dave Roberts revealed that he's talked with Ohtani about potentially reaching 500 career home runs ahead of his latest accomplishment.

"We're always talking about the 500 club," Roberts said, per MLB.com's Sonja Chen. "And so for him to get to 300 … it's been pretty dang quick for me."

Ohtani has thrived at the plate this season as he looks to help the Dodgers capture a third consecutive World Series title.

In 83 games prior to Tuesday's action, the four-time MVP racked up 15 doubles, 55 RBI and 59 walks while posting a .294/.409/.535 slash line.

Ohtani's power-hitting prowess is especially commendable considering he's remained a key piece of Los Angeles' pitching staff in 2026.

He owns an 8-2 record in 14 starts, compiling a 1.79 ERA and 0.946 WHIP. Ohtani has also tallied 95 strikeouts compared to 26 walks in 85.2 innings of work.
