While Kelsey Plum was one of the most notable players included on the list of reserves, ESPN's Alexa Philippou reported she was ruled out for at least four weeks in late June because of a lower leg injury with a decision expected for her All-Star Game status closer to the July 25 contest.

This year's game will have a different format than the recent ones which called for the top two vote-getters to select their teams as captains.

Instead, as part of the league's 30th anniversary season, legends Teresa Weatherspoon and Cynthia Cooper will be the general managers and draft their rosters from the pool of 22 All-Stars:

The starting lineup announcement was dominated by Indiana Fever players with Caitlin Clark, Aliyah Boston and Kelsey Mitchell representing 30 percent of the group, but the Atlanta Dream were all over the list of reserves.

Reese, Gray and Rhyne Howard were among the reserves announced Tuesday.

Atlanta is off to a solid 12-9 start this season with so many All-Stars leading the way, although things looked much better just a handful of games ago. After all, the Dream have lost five games in a row since their 12-4 start and will enter Thursday's game against the Seattle Storm in need of a win.

Reese's inclusion is also notable considering this year's All-Star game will take place in Chicago at the United Center.

She started her career with the Chicago Sky before they traded her to the Dream this offseason. The LSU product publicly criticized the organization and her teammates prior to the trade, so her reception could be a storyline during the All-Star Game.
