Caitlin Clark's Injury Status for Fever vs. Sparks Updated Amid Back Issue
Caitlin Clark will return to the court on Wednesday after missing the last two games due to a back injury.
Indiana Fever coach Stephanie White revealed that Clark will play in Wednesday's game against the Los Angeles Sparks but will sit against the Phoenix Mercury on Thursday, while Aliyah Boston will sit on Wednesday and play on Thursday.

This news comes after Clark told reporters on Tuesday that she was "very hopeful for tomorrow" as her squad takes on the Sparks.
Clark has been dealing with a back injury throughout the season, but managed to play most of June. During the Fever's game against the Mercury on June 24, she exited early and was forced to miss the last two games against the Sparks and Aces.
Luckily, Indiana had a lengthy break between games, which meant Clark didn't have to miss as much time as she would have during a different stretch.
Now, she'll make her return ahead of a back-to-back against Los Angeles.
"Obviously, I think it would be very difficult for me to play both this one on Wednesday and then the one on Thursday, but we'll see," ClarkĀ told reporters on Tuesday. "From a health standpoint and then just getting back into it. I'd assume I'll be on a minutes restriction tomorrow."
Clark, who missed most of the 2025 campaign, has been tremendous when healthy, putting up 21.2 points, 8.2 assists and 4.0 rebounds per game. She's averaging the third-most points and the second-most assists in the league.
The Fever have done well to stay afloat when Clark is out, and they're currently sitting in sixth place in the WNBA at 12-8. If Clark can stay healthy for the next few weeks, Indiana could be in a strong position heading into the second half of the season.
