According to Under Armour's press release, "Designed around the idea of futuristic protection for baseball, the Harper 11 draws inspiration from Harper's experience as a catcher, catcher's gear and motorcycle protective equipment. The cleat features a first-of-its-kind traction plate engineered for enhanced stability, comfort and ground feel, along with a signature impact cage that blends lightweight protection with personal storytelling inspired by Bryce's connection to family, the game and Philadelphia. The All Lines Lead Home story extends beyond the Harper 11 to Under Armour's Yard Icon cleat through five colorways representing Philadelphia train lines, accented by chrome details inspired by the city's transit system."
Harper has become known for showing Philadelphia flair on his cleats in recent years, and the SEPTA nod will add to that tradition. He'll be one of five players representing the Philadelphia Phillies at this year's All-Star Game, hosted in Philly on Tuesday, July 14 at 8 p.m. ET.
