Mayfield just completed his eighth NFL season and third with the Bucs. The No. 1 overall pick in the 2018 NFL draft has enjoyed a career renaissance with Tampa Bay, completing 66.3 percent of his passes for 95 touchdowns (37 interceptions) and 12,237 yards (7.3 yards per attempt).
Mayfield led the Bucs to the playoffs in each of his first two seasons. He dominated in 2024, notching career-highs in touchdown passes (41), completion percentage (71.4 percent), quarterback rating (106.8) and yards (4,500).
His numbers went down a bit in 2025 (26 touchdowns, 63.2 percent completion rate, 90.6 QB rating, 3,693 yards) as the Bucs' 6-2 start gave way to a 2-7 finish en route to missing the playoffs at 8-9.
However, Mayfield dealt with a host of injuries (yet still made all 17 starts) and missed top targets Chris Godwin and Mike Evans for a combined 17 games.
Sweat played his first seven seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles, helping them with a pair of NFC titles (2022, 2024) and a Super Bowl (2024). The former Florida State Seminole and fourth-round pick in the 2018 NFL draft ended his time in Philadelphia with 43 sacks, 237 tackles and 97 quarterback hits.
After the 2024 season, Sweat signed a four-year, $76.4 million contract ($41 million guaranteed) with the Cardinals. He dominated last year in Arizona, racking up a career-high 12 sacks in his 17 starts while adding four forced fumbles, 17 quarterback hits and 30 tackles. Sweat had six sacks in five November games alone.
He was a major bright spot on a team that didn't have many amid a 3-14 season, but Sweat's presence was a shining light on the Cardinals and brings them hope for a brighter future. In the present, though, Sweat's peers clearly see his impact on the field and rewarded him in kind with a spot on the NFL Top 100.
Players decide on the NFL Top 100 each year. They are given a ballot and asked to rank the top 20 players in the league. From there, players are scored on a system in which the top-ranked player gets 20 points, the No. 2 player gets 19 points and so on, per Jayna Bardahl of The Athletic.
Two players are being revealed each day from Monday through Friday until Aug. 21. The top 10 will then be shown one player at a time on each weekday from Monday, Aug. 24 (No. 10) through Friday, Sept. 4 (No. 1).
