Joey Chestnut consumed more than 17,000 calories in 10 minutes while claiming his 18th career victory at the Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest.
Chestnut ate 66 hot dogs and buns Saturday morning at Coney Island to beat runner-up Patrick Bertoletti by 15 hot dogs and win his second straight title at the Fourth of July event.
Chestnut consumed about 17,820 calories while winning the contest, according to nutrition information listed by Nathan's beef franks and Wonder bread Nathan's style buns.
He also consumed a total 38,940 milligrams of sodium, 1,716 grams of carbohydrates and 594 grams of protein, according to the nutrition information.
Those 66 hot dogs and buns also included 891 grams of fat, 396 grams of saturated fat and 1,320 milligrams of cholesterol, according to the nutrition labels.
Chestnut has won the last 10 Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contests in which he has participated, although he missed out on the 2024 event after being banned due to a competing sponsorship deal.
He returned in 2025 and won by eating 70.5 hot dogs before retaining his title in 2026.
Chestnut, 42, remains one of the world's top competitive eaters 19 years after his debut at the annual Nathan's contest. He entered the 2026 competition just weeks after setting a world record by eating 16 pounds of bologna at the Ultimate Bologna Showdown in Knoxville, Tennessee.
