Dodgers' Mookie Betts, Max Muncy Discuss Shohei Ohtani-Dalton Rushing Exchange in New B/R Video

Los Angeles Dodgers stars Mookie Betts and Max Muncy both believe teammate Dalton Rushing had a necessary learning experience during his difficult outing catching Shohei Ohtani in a 4-3 win on June 24.

There was a general disconnect between the pitcher and catcher early into the contest, and multiple people took Rushing aside in the dugout.

Betts and Muncy offered their thoughts on the situation in the newest episode of On Base with Mookie Betts.

Muncy called it a "good growing moment" for both Ohtani and Rushing. Ohtani won't always have three-time All-Star Will Smith behind the plate, and Rushing is still finding his comfort zone given he has just 78 MLB appearances at catcher under his belt.
