Novak Djokovic Challenges Rory McIlroy to Tennis Match for Masters Green Jacket in Wimbledon Video
Novak Djokovic noticed 2026 Masters champion Rory McIlroy in the crowd wearing his Green Jacket during his second-round victory over Stefanos Tsitsipas on Wednesday and had a funny request for the golf star.
"Rory, what a beautiful jacket. Is that a Masters jacket? It must be. Round of applause for Rory for Masters, please. I want that jacket," Djokovic joked (3:30 mark) during his post-match remarks. "I'll play you. This jacket for that jacket, we play tennis. No golf."
McIlroy, 37, won his second straight Masters title in April.
Djokovic, meanwhile, is attempting to win his eighth Wimbledon title this month (and first since 2022). The 39-year-old has claimed a record 24 grand slam titles during his historic career, though none since 2023 as players like Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner have overtaken the men's game.
He'll face No. 25 seed Arthur Rinderknech in the third round.
