Watch Naomi Osaka Debut New Wimbledon Outfit in Trending Videos from 2nd-Round Win

Wimbledon's dress code didn't stop Naomi Osaka from making a fashion statement ahead of her second-round match again Anastasia Gasanova.

The world No. 14 debuted an outfit inspired by her Japanese heritage before advancing to the third round Wednesday in London.

Her outfit featured a train Osaka said was inspired by an obi, the decorative belt traditionally worn around a kimono.

"I just wore it with my Nike bomber jacket, which I thought was really cool... I'm just trying to mix it up a little bit," Osaka said Wednesday.

Osaka went on to defeat Gasanova 6-3, 6-2 and advance to the third round and face Daria Kasatkina in the third round.

The winner of Friday's match between Osaka and Kasatkina will get a chance to take on either No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka or Jelena Ostapenko in the Round of 16.
