Harmony Tan Says Serena Williams Blocked Her on Instagram After Win vs. Icon at Wimbledon in 2022

Harmony Tan said that she was blocked by Serena Williams on Instagram after defeating the 23-time Grand Slam champion at Wimbledon in 2022.

"So 4 years ago after the handshake she blocked me also on Instagram btw," Tan wrote in a Tuesday post on her Instagram story.

Tan previously secured a 7-5, 1-6, 7-6(7) upset win over Williams at the All England Club in 2022.

Williams eventually announced that she was stepping away from tennis following the 2022 U.S. Open, but made her return to the singles stage at Wimbledon on Tuesday.

The 44-year-old suffered a 6-3, 6-7(6), 6-3 loss to Maya Joint in the first round.

Still, Williams' showing was admirable considering her age as well as her extended time off.
