Caitlin Clark, Tarik Skubal, Trinidad Chambliss Reveal Their American Sports Heroes in New Video
Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark veered away from the hardwood when asked to pick her one American sports hero.
In a segment for ESPN, Clark spotlighted tennis legend and 23-time Grand Slam champion Serena Williams, calling her "the definition of a competitor."
Ole Miss quarterback Trinidad Chambliss, South Carolina women's basketball coach Dawn Staley and Detroit Tigers ace Tarik Skubal also weighed in with their choices.

Chambliss went with Michael Jordan, who's widely regarded as the greatest basketball player of all time. The five-time MVP and six-time NBA champion set the bar for everyone else to follow.
Jackie Joyner-Kersee, Staley's selection, is one of the defining track and field athletes of her generation. She twice won the heptathlon in the Summer Olympics, adding another gold in the long jump. She was a two-time world champion in both events as well.
Skubal said representing the United States in the World Baseball Classic helped influence his mindset. He went with former NFL safety Pat Tillman, who was killed while serving in the United States Army after having put his football career on hold.
