Watch How Viktor Hovland Beat Scottie Scheffler in Rare Playoff to Win Travelers Championship
This year's Travelers Championship was decided in a playoff, with Viktor Hovland edging out Scottie Scheffler in the sudden-death format at TPC River Highlands.
After Hovland birdied, Scheffler missed a short birdie putt that would've extended the playoff to a second hole.

The two finished at 21 under for the tournament Sunday, forcing bonus golf to determine a winner.
The Travelers Championship saw unfavorable conditions this past weekend, with a wet course on Saturday and more rain on Sunday, which delayed play in the final round.
Hovland came into Sunday with a one-stroke lead over Scheffler. He carded three bogeys on the front nine and added another on the 10th hole, but his five birdies kept him in contention with Scheffler.
Scheffler bogeyed once and recorded three birdies to finish the day at two-under par and tie Hovland.
Scheffler was eyeing his second win of the season and his first since the start of the year when he won the American Express in January. Hovland, meanwhile, earned his first win of the season and eighth PGA Tour win ever.
Prior to the playoff, the Norwegian golfer was just thrilled for the chance to go up against Scheffler.
"Just had a great time," Hovland said on Saturday. "It's been a while since I've been in this position. To go head-to-head against the best player in the world and pull off some great shots, it was just a lot of fun."
