
Sophie Cunningham's Final Box Score Stats, Highlights as Fever Beat Sparks amid Caitlin Clark Injury
Sophie Cunningham and the Indiana Fever routed the Los Angeles Sparks at home Saturday without Caitlin Clark, 111-87.
Clark was sidelined with a back injury she suffered during the Fever's 111-109 loss to the Phoenix Mercury on Wednesday.
Clark left the game shortly after Phoenix's Alyssa Thomas made contact with her neck on the ground. Thomas received a one-game suspension for the play.
The Sparks were also without its leading scorer Kelsey Plum, who ranks second in the WNBA with 23.9 points per game. Plum has been sidelined since suffering a left leg injury in Los Angeles' victory over the New York Liberty nearly a week ago.
Cunningham finished with nine points on 50 percent shooting from the field and added a steal. Kelsey Mitchell led the Fever with 26 points in 26 minutes, shooting 4-of-6 from 3-point range.
Four of Indiana's five starters scored in double figures as the Fever stepped up in the absence of the former Rookie of the Year.

Nneka Ogwumike turned in a strong all-around performance, finishing with 17 points, seven rebounds, two assists, one steal and two blocks.
Rae Burrell added 11 points despite struggling from the field, while Dearica Hamby finished with 15 points.
The Sparks shot just 20 percent from 3-point range, making 4-of-20 attempts, while the Fever shot 56 percent from the field in a dominant offensive performance.

The win improved the Fever to 11-8, keeping them seventh in the WNBA standings. The Sparks fell to 8-10, losing their second straight and dropping to 10th.
By halftime the Fever built a 30-point lead, holding the Sparks to just 37 first half points. Aliyah Boston led the pack with 17 points and Cunningham added three.
Los Angeles was unable to cut into the deficit as Indiana remained up by 31 headed into the fourth and they cruised to a 24-point victory without their leading scorer.
The Fever begin a four-game road trip Sunday, July 5, against the Las Vegas Aces.
