Oba Femi, Seth Rollins and Real Winners and Losers of WWE Night of Champions Match Card

Kevin BergeJun 27, 2026

On the road to SummerSlam, WWE Night of Champions 2026 delivered results that set the course for the summer.

Oba Femi and Iyo Sky won the King and Queen of the Ring. Seth Rollins definitively took down Bron Breakker inside a Steel Cage.

Trick Williams and Tiffany Stratton successfully defended their United States Championships. Sami Zayn pinned Cody Rhodes to win the Undisputed WWE Championship for the first time in the biggest shocker of the show.

The following are the real winners and losers of a packed night from Night of Champions.

Winner: Oba Femi

Oba Femi

Beyond one blemish against Brock Lesnar on his record, Oba Femi has completely dominated Raw since his arrival.

Jey Uso was the latest to fall despite hitting The Ruler with multiple Spears and Uso Splashes.

This could easily have gone the other way, especially with Brock Lesnar looming. WWE made the right call and solidified the reign of The Ruler, who is likely to challenge Roman Reigns for SummerSlam.

Going into SummerSlam, WWE has a chance to truly redefine itself by crowning the fastest rising star.

This could be the beginning of a true new era in WWE where fresh stars stand atop the company.

Loser: Liv Morgan

Iyo Sky and Liv Morgan

Liv Morgan took a big risk joining Queen of the Ring as the Women's World Champion. She risked her own invincibility by stepping into the ring in pursuit of another title.

The aura that she built at WrestleMania 42 was shattered by a loss to Iyo Sky, who will go on to SummerSlam to challenge her for the Women's World Championship.

The Genius of the Sky has already shown the world she can beat Liv, and there is no reason to believe anything will change by the time of SummerSlam.

Liv will need to find a way not only to figure out Sky but also to break the curse of Danhausen bestowed upon her before her Queen of the Ring final match.

Now that the whole tournament has passed, it looks even more like Liv's involvement in the Queen of the Ring tournament was a mistake that took a spot away from a fresh star.

Winners: Seth Rollins and Bron Breakker

3 of 7

Seth Rollins and Bron Breakker put an end to their rivalry with an intense physical war inside a Steel Cage.

While The Visionary picked up the win, both men delivered top performances, and The Big Dog came out looking like a dangerous man to fight.

Without relying on any interference, living up to the often unfulfilled promise of fighting within the Cage, Breakker showed he could compete with a multiple-time world champion still in his prime.

It would not be a surprise if this win actually leads Breakker to the world championship by WrestleMania 43, even if Rollins is clearly next up for a world title match.

All in all, this was a rousing success and the most memorable match of the night.

Loser: Ricky Saints

4 of 7

Ricky Saints walked into his first premium live event match with focus and audacity, only to leave humbled.

While the Riyadh crowd sang along to Saints' theme, once Trick arrived, they were mostly silent for the United States Championship challenger.

He delivered a solid but forgettable match with Trick that may be most talked about for the post-match Lil Yachty People's Elbow.

The Revolution was a mere speed bump for Trick, who continues to run as the United States champion.

It would be a shock if Saints finds his way onto the SummerSlam card at this stage.

Winner: Tiffany Stratton

Tiffany Stratton

Tiffany Stratton needed some help but was able to take down Jade Cargill and avenge her past loss to The Storm.

This was easily the best Stratton and Cargill have looked together, even with the usual messy finish to any match featuring The Storm.

The match highlighted two enduring stars in WWE's women's division who have improved immensely with their opportunities.

The Women's United States Championship finally got a PLE spotlight, and Stratton and The Storm sold why the title should remain highlighted.

As a small winner, Cargill continues to outperform her early matches in WWE and looks like a real standout, even when the result does not go her way.

Winner: Sami Zayn

Sami Zayn

Sami Zayn has finally done it. He is a world champion for the first time in his career.

The Last Real Good Guy found a way to overcome a crafty Cody Rhodes and powerful Gunther to capture the Undisputed WWE Championship.

This was a massive win for Zayn, who showed years ago that he was ready for this chance, and his new heel role has only solidified his readiness.

The Riyadh crowd, though, did not treat Zayn as a heel, celebrating his victory in a company that never quite bought into him to this point.

It was a fantastic performance that finally allowed him to accomplish his dream.

It should be fun to see what Zayn will do next with the biggest spotlight of his entire career at SummerSlam.

Loser: Gunther

7 of 7

Gunther won the biggest match of his career, even past winning the World Heavyweight Championship, when he ended the career of John Cena in December.

This was supposed to be the moment where The Career Killer solidified himself as the biggest heel in WWE.

Instead, even after also retiring AJ Styles at Royal Rumble 2026, Gunther has struggled to find a reliable spotlight.

He has lost multiple times to Rhodes and could not capture the Undisputed WWE Championship once again at Night of Champions.

Unless WWE is going to pull out a shocker soon, it looks like all of the momentum built from retiring Cena is gone, and The Career Killer is back to the reliable worker role.
