Yankees, Red Sox Clear Benches in Video After Will Warren, Willson Contreras Exchange Words

Did you know the New York Yankees and Boston Red Sox aren't terribly fond of each other?

The two teams cleared the dugout during the fifth inning of Friday's matchup after starting pitcher Will Warren walked Willson Contreras and the two exchanged words. No fighting ensued, however.

It's unclear what set off the barking that led to the mild fracas, though Contreras did blast a homer against Warren earlier in the game and perhaps took issue with the starting pitcher coming in high and tight on him.

Who are we kidding? It's Yankees-Red Sox, nobody needs any excuse to turn up the animosity in this rivalry.

It simply comes with the territory.
