Jack Drury Traded to Predators, Avalanche's Full Return Package Revealed Ahead of 2026 NHL Draft
The Nashville Predators acquired Jack Drury in a trade with the Colorado Avalanche on Wednesday.
The Avalanche sent Drury, Chase Bradley and a 2029 third-round draft pick to the Predators in exchange for Fedor Svechkov and Zachary L'Heureux.
Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman first reported the news.
Drury's tenure with Colorado will now come to a close after he was initially acquired by the team in a Jan. 2025 trade.
The swap, which was headlined by Mikko Rantanen moving from the Avalanche to the Carolina Hurricanes, was pulled off by former Colorado general manager Chris MacFarland.
MacFarland now serves as general manager and president of hockey operations for Nashville.
He was excited by the addition of Drury and Bradley.
"Jack Drury is a hard-working, reliable, full-sheet of the ice center who can handle the tough assignments while being elite in the face-off circle," MacFarland said, via NHL.com. "His addition to our forward group bolsters our depth in the middle of the ice, and we're thrilled to have him on our roster. We're also excited to add Chase Bradley – another young forward who's had some NHL experience – to our overall organizational depth at forward."
Drury can become a restricted free agent on July 1.
The 26-year-old appeared in all 82 regular-season games for the Avalanche during his 2025-26 campaign, helping them finish with a 55-16-11 record to capture the Presidents' Trophy.
Drury amassed 10 goals and 17 assists.
Meanwhile, Svechkov has racked up 34 points in 122 games played across his two years in the NHL. L'Heureux only suited up in 25 games last season, finishing with four goals and one assist.
