Travis Kelce Explains Returning to Chiefs After NFL Retirement Buzz in TEU Video, 'I Love This S--t'
Travis Kelce's NFL future was up in the air this offseason as he weighed retirement, but the star tight end opted to return to the Kansas City Chiefs for another season.
Kelce has little left to accomplish at this point, but he wasn't quite ready to walk away from the game.
"I love this s--t," Kelce said when asked the biggest factor in his decision to continue playing.
The 36-year-old Kelce will be entering his 13th NFL season, all of which have come with the Chiefs. The 2025 campaign didn't end how he would have liked, as Kansas City missed the playoffs, so he'll look to go out strong if 2026 is his final season.
Kelce may not be the All-Pro tight end he once was, but he still had a good season last year. If his quarterback, Patrick Mahomes, can recover well from a torn ACL, Kansas City should be back in the mix to win it all in 2026.
