MLB Top 100 Prospects Most Likely to Be Traded This Summer

Joel ReuterJun 25, 2026

The 2025 MLB trade deadline saw a number of high-profile prospects find new homes on the trade market, including a pair of headliners who were consensus inclusions on leaguewide Top 100 prospect lists.

Shortstop Leo De Vries went from the Padres to the Athletics as part of the multiโ€‘prospect package used to acquire closer Mason Miller, while upโ€‘andโ€‘coming catcher Eduardo Tait was included in the group the Phillies agreed to send to the Twins in exchange for another standout lateโ€‘inning arm in Jhoan Durรกn.

Ahead are eight prospects from Bleacher Report's most recent Top 100 prospect list with a realistic shot of being dealt this summer.

SS Seaver King, Washington Nationals

1 of 8
Harrisburg Senators v Akron RubberDucks

B/R Top 100 Rank: No. 87

With a 41-39 record, the Nationals are surprise contenders a year after racking up 96 losses, and the new-look front office could be motivated to push for the club's first playoff appearance since its World Series win in 2019.

After a disappointing 2025 campaign, Seaver King has exploded for a .317/.389/.530 line with 15 doubles, 10 home runs and 51 RBI in 62 games between Double-A and Triple-A.

The No. 10 overall pick in the 2024 draft was a Swiss Army knife at Vanderbilt, and while he has played exclusively middle infield in pro ball, he also saw time at third base and in center field in college. He could be the heir to CJ Abrams at shortstop, his future double-play partner or the centerpiece in a deal to acquire a controllable starter this summer.

LHP Johnny King, Toronto Blue Jays

2 of 8

B/R Top 100 Rank: No. 84

After coming one win away from a World Series title a year ago, the Blue Jays have spent much of the 2026 season hovering around the .500 mark, though that is still enough to keep them in the thick of wild-card contention.

There is enough talent on the roster and money on the payroll for them to be aggressive buyers, and upgrading a starting staff that ranks near the bottom of the majors in innings pitched (358.2, 26th) and quality starts (19, 25th) will likely be the top priority.

Lefty Johnny King has frontline potential if everything clicks, evidenced by his 2.47 ERA and 66 strikeouts in 47.1 innings, though a 13.5 percent walk rate and effort in his delivery also create some reliever risk. With infielders Arjun Nimmala and JoJo Parker untouchable, he is the most likely centerpiece in a blockbuster deal.

IF Pedro Ramรญrez, Chicago Cubs

3 of 8
Colorado Rockies v Chicago Cubs

B/R Top 100 Rank: No. 79

Signed for just $75,000 as part of the same 2021 international class as Moisรฉs Ballesteros, infielder Pedro Ramรญrez took over as the top prospect in the Cubs system this year after Ballesteros moved on to the majors thanks to a breakout offensive season at Triple-A.

The 22-year-old posted a modest .732 OPS with 33 extra-base hits at Double-A last season, but opened the 2026 campaign with a .312/.395/.547 line and 21 extra-base knocks through 43 games at Triple-A before making his MLB debut on May 23.

Despite a solid .270/.325/.405 line and 108 OPS+ over 40 plate appearances in the majors, he has been limited to mostly pinch-hitting duties the last few weeks now that the Cubs are back to full strength offensively. With the club's glaring need for pitching help and no clear path to give him regular playing time, Ramรญrez looks like a logical trade candidate in July.

2B/LF Michael Arroyo, Seattle Mariners

4 of 8
Arkansas Travelers v Tulsa Drillers

B/R Top 100 Rank: No. 68

With a .274/.400/.453 line over 1,868 plate appearances in the minors and a combined 40 home runs during the 2024 and 2025 seasons, Michael Arroyo has firmly established his impact potential offensively.

The question is where he fits defensively, and with Cole Young and Colt Emerson both settling into spots on the Seattle infield alongside entrenched veteran J.P. Crawford, he is getting looks in left field as a potential path to the big leagues.

The Mariners are one of the most talented teams in a wide-open AL race, and team president Jerry Dipoto is never shy about wheeling and dealing. Even with Young and Emerson now in the majors, the Mariners still have Felnin Celesten and Nick Becker as high-ceiling infielders in their system, which further increases the likelihood that Arroyo could be expendable.

RHP Elmer Rodrรญguez, New York Yankees

5 of 8
Cincinnati Reds v New York Yankees

B/R Top 100 Rank: No. 66

At surface-level, it looked like the Yankees made a mistake trading catcher Carlos Narvรกez to the rival Red Sox last season, as he put together a surprise 2.8-WAR rookie season while playing his way into the starting role.

However, the return in the one-for-one swap was right-hander Elmer Rodrรญguez, and he had a terrific 2025 season of his own with a 2.58 ERA, 1.07 WHIP and 176 strikeouts in 150 innings while climbing two levels to close out the year at Triple-A.

The 22-year-old has made four spot starts in the majors this year, posting a 4.76 ERA in 17 innings, albeit with more walks (11) than strikeouts (10). Shortstop George Lombard Jr. and flame-thrower Carlos Lagrange are off-limits in trade talks, but Rodrรญguez has significant value as a plug-and-play rotation piece for any rebuilding club.

RHP JR Ritchie, Atlanta Braves

6 of 8
San Francisco Giants v Atlanta Braves - Game Two

B/R Top 100 Rank: No. 55

JR Ritchie logged just 77.1 innings during his first three professional seasons while navigating Tommy John surgery, but he showed why he was the No. 35 pick in the 2022 draft with a healthy and productive 2025 campaign.

In 140 innings across three minor league levels, he posted a 2.64 ERA, 1.01 WHIP and 140 strikeouts, closing out the year at Triple-A while erasing questions about his post-injury stuff and durability.

He has a 4.87 ERA in 40.2 innings in the majors this year while making seven starts in a banged up rotation. He could be a long-term piece of the pitching puzzle in Atlanta, but he could also be the chip they push to the middle in an all-in deal for someone like Tarik Skubal to chase a World Series title in 2026.

IF/OF Jett Williams, Milwaukee Brewers

7 of 8
Milwaukee Brewers v Los Angeles Dodgers

B/R Top 100 Rank: No. 52

The Brewers just acquired Jett Williams during the offseason in the deal that sent Freddy Peralta to the New York Mets, but it's not out of the question to think he could be on the move again this summer given the current organizational outlook on the infield.

Rookie Cooper Pratt is now locked in at shortstop, while Brice Turang is one of the best second basemen in the game. Rising prospects Jesรบs Made and Andrew Fischer both have a chance to be the future at third base, and in the not-too-distant future since both are currently suiting up for Double-A Biloxi.

Williams has been playing mostly third base at Triple-A this season to find a path to the majors, but with a .218/.328/.373 line he could end up getting leapfrogged by one of those Double-A standouts.

That said, his combination of hit tool, speed, sneaky pop and defensive versatility still holds significant value, and the Brewers are one of baseball's most obvious buyers.

OF Zyhir Hope, Los Angeles Dodgers

8 of 8
Arkansas Travelers v Tulsa Drillers

B/R Top 100 Rank: No. 28

The Dodgers acquired Zyhir Hope in the deal that sent Michael Busch to the Cubs prior to the 2024 season, and since the trade he has emerged as one of baseball's most exciting offensive prospects.

The 21-year-old has 60-grade raw power, and it is starting to show up more in games, as he is hitting .270/.336/.471 with 13 home runs in 65 games at Double-A this season, already matching his previous career-high for long balls.

He would be untouchable in almost any organization, but he shares the Dodgers farm system with fellow outfielders Josue De Paula (No. 5 on B/R 100), Mike Sirota (No. 14) and Eduardo Quintero (No. 47), not to mention Andy Pages is controllable through 2030 in the majors.

The Dodgers' window of title contention is wide open, and Hope is the most likely top-tier prospect to be moved this summer in their pursuit of any superstar addition.
