49ers' George Kittle Issues Warning on Acquiring Brandon Aiyuk amid Latest Rumors, Viral Videos
The drama that has surrounded Brandon Aiyuk over the last few months is no secret to NFL organizations, but San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle still issued a warning to teams interested in adding him.
"The last time I saw Aiyuk was, call it Week 6, 7, or 8. I don't really know," Kittle said on Pardon My Take (h/t Pro Football Talk's Josh Alper). "I used to make it a habit of mine to go out early in the morning before meetings to watch him train because he'd always be out there early, and I watched him run over 22 miles an hour and stop on a dime. So, he's still got it, or at least that was a year, eight months ago, so I don't really know. But you guys have fun with that, I guess . . . You have fun with all that comes with it."
Aiyuk hasn't played since October 2024 after suffering a knee injury, and his relationship with the Niners has hit rock bottom during the time he's been out. Things boiled over in December when he stopped reporting to team facilities completely, and general manager John Lynch said the wide receiver has "played his last snap with the 49ers."
Where he'll end up next is still unclear, but Aiyuk has made several social media posts indicating that he wants to play for the Washington Commanders.
