Jets WR Isaiah Williams Trains with Olympic Sprinters to Become Faster
New York Jets wide receiver Isaiah Williams used his speed to score two punt-return touchdowns last season, but he plans on being even faster in 2026.
ESPN's Rich Cimini reported Sunday that Williams, who was voted team MVP last season due to his special-teams impact, has worked out with Olympic sprinters this offseason to improve on his speed ahead of the upcoming campaign.
"I want to score more touchdowns," he said.
Williams averaged 14.1 yards per return and scored twice last season, although he was a secondary contributor on offense with just 26 catches for 193 yards. But with opposing defenses focused on Garrett Wilson, Breece Hall and Omar Cooper Jr., there could be some favorable one-on-one matchups in 2026.
And Williams plans on using his new and improved speed to beat that single coverage and find the end zone.
