Iyo Sky Beats Liv Morgan to Win WWE Queen of the Ring and Title Shot at SummerSlam

Iyo Sky defeated Liv Morgan in the 2026 Queen of the Ring finals at WWE Night of Champions on Saturday to earn a Women's Championship match at SummerSlam.

Prior to the start of the match, Morgan interrupted a promo by Danhausen, prompting Danhausen to curse her:

Sky went on to win the match after that, and following her victory, she announced that she would be challenging Liv for the Women's World Championship at SummerSlam:

Saturday represented a unique final in that it pitted Sky against the reigning women's world champion, as Morgan looked to become the first Superstar in WWE history to win Queen of the Ring while simultaneously holding a world title.

Both Sky and Morgan traversed tough roads in order to reach the QOTR finals, winning a first-round Fatal 4-Way, followed by competitive semifinal bouts.

Sky outlasted Roxanne Perez, Giulia and Lash Legend in the first round before beating Liv's Judgment Day stablemate, Raquel Rodriguez, in the semifinals.

Meanwhile, Morgan prevailed in a Fatal 4-Way against Becky Lynch, Alexa Bliss and Chelsea Green, and then triumphed over Charlotte Flair in the semis.

Morgan had some help in beating Flair, though, as Charlotte was attacked by Jade Cargill, Michin and B-Fab prior to the match.

While Flair insisted on fighting through it and even had Liv on the ropes a few times, Charlotte ultimately could not stand the pain she was experiencing in her knee and had to tap out.

With that victory, Morgan brought herself within one win of becoming Queen of the Ring and having the opportunity to become a double champion at SummerSlam by vying for the WWE Women's Championship.

However, Sky stood out as her toughest test yet, as a two-time women's champion and three-time women's tag team champion in her own right.

The Genius of the Sky spoiled Morgan's plans to hold all of the gold in the women's division by beating her in the Queen of the Ring final, and it will lead to a rematch between them for the Women's World Championship at SummerSlam in August.
