After Viral 'F--k' Video, How Much Money French Tennis Player Corentin Moutet Was Fined by ATP
French tennis player Corentin Moutet was fined this week for using vulgar language during an on-court interview following his Round of 32 victory in the HSBC Championships at The Queen's Club in London.
According to the Associated Press, the ATP announced a $40,000 fine in a statement issued Friday, saying, "The player has received a fine of $40,000 for unsportsmanlike conduct. Moutet has confirmed that he will appeal the fine in accordance with ATP rules."
Moutet went viral after his three-set victory over fellow Frenchman Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard, as he dropped multiple F-bombs during an on-court interview despite the interviewer warning him against doing so:
The 27-year-old veteran's stay in London did not last long beyond the win over Mpetshi Perricard, as Moutet fell to fourth-seeded Alejandro Davidovich of Spain in the Round of 16 on Thursday.
